After extracting all the files from the 'SIMULIA_Abaqus_6.14_6.14-1_.Abaqus_6.14-2SE_win86_64.exe' file @ http://academy.3ds.com/software/simulia/abaqus-stu..., the software crashed on many attempts instead of continuing to the 'Abaqus Product Installer' step as listed in the Installation guide. What happens visually is: as soon as the extraction finishes, there is a flash of a MS-DOS window (Please see attached screenshots below)- and nothing after that. It's as If I never started an Installation in the first place. I have a Windows 7, 32-bit personal HP laptop.
I have tried running with '-nosystemchecks', updating my java software, cleaning registry and directory files, disabling antiviruses and User Account Control, updating my graphics card, also tried running the setup in Safe Mode... but all to no avail. Also, I know a friend who installed this edition using the same link on their PC so I am quite sure this is something to do with my system and not the subject file.
