step 3 put chip in that has firmware on it using infrared soldering.

step 5 restart like new mac.

step 6 just added this on june 6 2012 and is very important ….. you must use a blank hard drive and a fresh install of your operating system. If you use your old operating system you run the risk of it auto resetting the ICLOUD MOBILE ME PIN LOCK. If you have a macbook air you must send the ssd drive because it also needs to be unlocked.

This process will remove the EFI password and Remove the system PIN LOCK these are 2 separate locks so if your computer asks for a 4 or 6 digit pin it means its double locked.

PRAM (Parameter Random Access Memory). This is a non-volatile random-access memory utilized to store system settings on Mac including display resolution, sound volume, time zone, startup disk selection and recent kernel panic information.
